Alt-Marzahn

Alt-Marzahn is a small historical area in the center of the huge area of the Marzahn's plattenbau where the church, the mill (rebuilt in 1994) and the farmyard are the more representative elements. This area is the original old area of Marzahn, built starting from 1300, the houses in the area are from aprox. 1800.
The strong contrast is made by the small hip roofs of the old houses, the farm with the animals, and the huge massive concrete buildings all around (built approx between 1977 and 1989).
