Mausoleum (Charlottenburg)

In the middle of the park of the Charlottenburg Castle, you'll find this Mausoleum, built in 1810 after the death of the Prussian Queen Luise.

The place is dark, with dense shadows made by filtered lights coming from the two windows on top. The building has been enlarged more then once in the centuries to allow more space for the other sarcophaguses.

Here there are: King Frederick William III and Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Heart of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, Prince Albrecht of Prussia, Auguste Princess of Liegnitz, Kaiser Wilhelm I and Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.
