Exhibition: Wall on Wall (East Side Gallery)

Moving forward from the idea of wall, when you talk about the Berlin Mauer, is very hard. In the last years the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery is become a very successful touristic attraction but the quality of the tourism in the area is usually quite low.

Wall on Wall is a project from the German photographer Kai Wiedenhöfer, who decided to investigate the walls around the world that that still separate people worldwide.

"on Wednesday 2, October from 18:00 – 21:30 in front of WALLONWALL at the Berlin Wall in Muehlenstrasse, 10243 Berlin-Friedrichshain (WestSideGallery, riverside of the East-Side-Gallery, opposite of the 02-hall). At 19:00 and 20:00 we will project the 43 minute documentary film BORDERLANDS by Fred Kowasch which depicts the genesis of the photographs in CONFRONTIER. The young ensemble of Circus Schatzinsel will perform a scenic improvisation. I will sign books and stamped them with the famous WALLONWALL logo, on 3, October the Day of German Unity I will also be there from 11:00 – 17:00."
