There are different ways you can do research on a city, you can for example read a book (for example I'm reading Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada in this moment), but you can also flight above the city using the maps. We've already discovered some places in WATCHING BERLIN FROM ABOVE (GALLERY I), but it's always a nice exercise to have a look at your city from this point of view and not only when you're looking for new places, observing the buildings by the shape they have on the ground and from the shadows they produce. Some places are very simple to get, like the field of the former Tempelhof Airport, huge spot in all the maps, others are less expected.
As for the Gallery I, try to figure out the places, then read the list at the end of the article where you will find also the links to the articles on this blog.
