Kino International is a well known cinema in Berlin, built during the socialist era together with the Stalin Allee and the Stalinbau, it has been always a great design place (and for this also part of the Berlinale).
Most of the interior design is still original, but it is not always possible to go around the building and get into the other rooms apart from the cinema hall.
But this year again for the KIK (Kino International Kunst) it has been possible to get into the building to have a look at contemporary artoworks, but also to get a full understanding of the building, of the different rooms, stairs and uncommon spaces.
"Not only are the movie theatre, foyer and panorama bar used but also spaces in the building beyond usual public access where there are possibilities to exhibit visual, installation and performance art."
